DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer

Role Description We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer to build, automate, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery pipelines. This role focuses on cloud platform management, infrastructure automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, cloud technologies, security, and improving the efficiency and reliability of software development and deployment processes. Key responsibilities include: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and best practices. Configure, deploy, and manage containerized applications and orchestration platforms. Monitor system performance, application availability, and cloud resource utilization. Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues through root cause analysis. Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to improve system reliability. Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and IT teams to streamline development and deployment workflows. Manage cloud networking, storage, identity, access management, and security configurations. Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning. Optimize cloud costs, resource utilization, and operational efficiency. Ensure infrastructure complies with security standards, governance policies, and industry best practices. Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks. Evaluate and implement new cloud technologies, automation tools, and DevOps best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and operational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field. Strong understanding of DevOps principles, cloud architecture, and infrastructure management. Knowledge of major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar services. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation concepts. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and software delivery workflows. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with Linux or Unix operating systems and system administration concepts. Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPN technologies. Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.
