Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research & Strategy Designer to join our Regional Digital Product Experience team on a 5-month contract. There may be a possibility for contract extension.
This role will focus on leading and executing research initiatives, facilitating focus groups, and translating user insights into actionable strategic recommendations. There may be an opportunity for contract extension based on business needs and performance.
The ideal candidate is a strong researcher, strategic thinker, and communicator who can confidently engage stakeholders, synthesize complex findings into compelling narratives, and visually communicate insights through journey maps, personas, and other experience design artifacts.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Insights
Lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to uncover user needs, behaviours, motivations, and pain points.
Design and execute research plans that generate meaningful insights to inform product and experience strategies.
Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations.
Focus Group Facilitation
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate focus groups and user workshops across diverse customer segments.
Foster engaging discussions and extract key insights from participant feedback.
Strategy Development & Reporting
Translate research findings into clear strategic recommendations and insight reports.
Develop compelling deliverables that support decision-making and influence product direction.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Present research outcomes, strategic insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
Clearly articulate complex ideas, findings, and rationale in a concise and impactful manner.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align research insights with business objectives.
Experience Mapping & Visual Storytelling
Create user personas, customer journey maps, service blueprints, and other experience-design artifacts.
Develop high-quality visual illustrations and storytelling materials that effectively communicate user insights and opportunities.

Language Requirements
Fluency in Cantonese and English (spoken and written) is required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Service Design, Customer Experience, or Digital Experience Design.
3+ years of experience in a management consulting firm, in-house strategy function, strategic planning role, or design agency environment.
Demonstrated expertise in user research, insight generation, and focus group facilitation.
Advanced proficiency in journey mapping and design collaboration tools.
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with experience influencing decision-making through research and strategy.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex findings effectively.
